ROUT OF THE ARTS

Among the varied ways that cross the mountain ranges of our land, the Contemporary Art has been the less explored. Taken root in a impressionistic and naturalistic art, the Center of Portugal, in general, remains far away from the contemporary manifestations of Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra. With the Rout of the Arts, it is intended to take a cool air gust on the center of Portugal, using new supports and materials, vídeo, performance and instalations, taking populations as reference, its economic activities, traditions, patrimony and art.
Formed by artists/professors, who divide its activity between art education and art making, the AAA association intends also to act pedagojacly on populations, defying its look and knowledge, presenting new artistic proposals, that take them to interrogate themselves on the art making and aesthetic feeling. Being able to forget youngest, it's purpose to challenge children and artists to elaborate an allusive painting in every exposition vernissage.
